About This Course
Our ABT-accredited Manicure and Gel Polish Course is the ideal starting point for a career in nails. Taught 1:2:1 by qualified educator and assessor Maria Bourne in her purpose-built Derbyshire studio, you will learn professional manicure technique and long-lasting gel polish application from the ground up. With one-to-one tuition you get Maria’s full attention and plenty of hands-on practice, finishing ready to work on clients and gain insurance.
Learning Outcome
You will be able to carry out a professional manicure, prepare the natural nail correctly, apply and remove gel polish safely, manage consultation, hygiene and aftercare, and understand nail anatomy and contraindications.
Entry Requirements
No previous experience is needed. This is a foundation course and a prerequisite for most of our further nail training. Suitable for complete beginners and those returning to the industry.
Training Centre
Follow-up Care
On completion you receive an ABT-accredited certificate, allowing you to gain insurance and start offering manicures and gel polish. Maria offers ongoing support, and you can progress onto extension and nail art courses.
Additional Information
Delivered 1:2:1 in person in Derbyshire, or as online accredited training. Kits and dates are arranged to suit you. A manicure qualification is a prerequisite for most further nail training.
