Electrolysis

Electrolysis

30 mins Weekly

Who It's For

Anyone looking for permanent hair removal, especially on smaller or precise areas, or with fair, grey or hormonal hair that laser cannot treat. Suitable for all skin tones and a welcoming choice for clients who value an inclusive, trans, neurodivergent, deaf and HIV aware clinic.

Expected Results

Electrolysis permanently destroys treated follicles, so results build session by session. A course of regular appointments is needed to treat hair through its growth cycles, after which the area stays permanently free of regrowth.

Pre-care Advice

Avoid caffeine before your appointment as it can increase sensitivity. Do not pluck, wax or thread the area between sessions, as the hair root must be present; trimming or shaving is fine. Arrive with clean skin free of make-up or heavy creams on the area, and tell us about any medication or skin conditions.

After-care Advice

Avoid touching the treated area, heat, sweating, swimming and make-up over the area for 24 to 48 hours. Keep the skin clean and apply any soothing product advised. Slight redness or small bumps are normal and settle quickly.

Downtime & Recovery

There is minimal downtime. You can return to your day straight away, avoiding heat, sweat and make-up on the area for 24 to 48 hours.

Contraindications

Please Read Carefully Before Booking This Treatment.

Electrolysis may not be suitable during pregnancy, over certain moles, or with some skin conditions or metal implants in the area. A consultation is carried out first to confirm your suitability.

Side Effects & Risks

Temporary redness, slight swelling or small scabs can occur and usually settle within a day or two. Following your aftercare reduces the chance of any marking.

Practitioner Qualifications

Carried out by Omnia’s trained electrolysis practitioners following a consultation.
