Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal

30 mins Every 6 weeks

Who It's For

Anyone wanting to reduce unwanted hair long term on the face or body. Suitable for most skin and hair types following a consultation and patch test, and a welcoming choice for clients who value an inclusive, judgement-free clinic.

Expected Results

Most clients see a gradual reduction in hair growth across a course of sessions, with hair becoming finer, lighter and slower to return. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions spaced a few weeks apart are needed for the best and longest-lasting results. Your therapist will recommend a personalised plan at your consultation.

Pre-care Advice

Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for two weeks before your session. Do not wax, pluck or use hair-removal creams between sessions, as the treatment needs the hair root in place; shaving is fine. Shave the area around 24 hours before your appointment unless advised otherwise, and tell us about any medication or recent skin changes.

After-care Advice

Avoid heat, sun exposure, hot baths, saunas and swimming for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Keep the area cool and moisturised, use SPF on exposed skin, and avoid shaving or picking between sessions unless advised. Your therapist will confirm when to book your next session.

Downtime & Recovery

There is no real downtime. You can return to your day straight after your session, simply avoiding heat, exercise and direct sun for 24 to 48 hours while any redness settles.

Contraindications

Please Read Carefully Before Booking This Treatment.

Laser hair removal may not be suitable if you are pregnant, have certain skin conditions, take photosensitising medication, have recent sun exposure or fake tan, or have a history of keloid scarring. A full consultation and patch test are carried out beforehand to confirm your suitability.

Side Effects & Risks

Mild redness, warmth or slight swelling around the hair follicles is normal and usually settles within a few hours. Less commonly there can be temporary changes in skin tone, particularly on darker or tanned skin, which is why a patch test and correct laser settings are essential.

Practitioner Qualifications

Carried out by Omnia’s trained clinicians following a full consultation and patch test.
