About This Course
The VTCT Level 2 Award in Facial Massage and Skincare at Signature Academy in Stopsley, Luton is a nationally recognised, Ofqual-regulated qualification designed for those looking to enter the skincare industry, change careers, start a business, or progress to Level 3 beauty or aesthetics training. No prior qualifications are required.
Delivered in a fast-track format, the course takes place over two academy days followed by a home study period and a one-day assessment, with a maximum of three learners per session. Students gain hands-on skills in client consultation, skin analysis, facial massage, mask application, and skincare fundamentals, supported by online pre-learning and a comprehensive facial kit included in the booking fee.
Learning Outcome
Skin anatomy and physiology; client consultation techniques; skin analysis and skin type identification; double facial cleanse technique; exfoliation; steam and extraction; facial, scalp and neck massage; bespoke mask blending and application; toning and moisturising; contraindications and contraindicated actions.
Entry Requirements
No prior qualifications required. Minimum age 18. Good command of spoken, written and understood English required. Any medical conditions, disabilities or learning needs must be declared before enrolment.

Graduates may progress to VTCT Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology, VTCT Level 3 Facial Electricals, VTCT Level 3 Beauty Diploma, VTCT Level 3 Microdermabrasion, VTCT ITEC Level 3 Access to Aesthetics, VTCT ITEC Level 4 Skin Peels, VTCT ITEC Level 4 Skin Needling, VTCT Level 4 Laser Hair Removal and IPL, and VTCT ITEC Level 5 Radio Frequency.
Additional Information
A student facial kit is provided and included in the booking fee. Course runs every eight weeks.
