The VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy Course at Signature Academy in Stopsley, Luton is an Ofqual-regulated, nationally recognised qualification ideal for anyone starting a career in beauty therapy. It is equally suited to those looking to convert from a CPD certificate to a fully regulated award. The course is delivered in a fast-track format over 10 to 12 weeks, one day per week, with a maximum of four learners per session.
Students gain hands-on, expert-led training in a wide range of fundamental beauty treatments, supported by online pre-study materials, coursework, written assignments, and practical and theory assessments. A professional portfolio is built throughout and reviewed by an internal assessor as part of the final record of achievement. The qualification provides a recognised stepping stone into Level 3 beauty, aesthetics, and beyond.
What you will learn
Facial skincare and massage including skin analysis, cleansing, toning and moisturising; waxing for face and body; eyelash and eyebrow tinting and shaping; manicures and pedicures including nail care and polish application; health, safety and hygiene; client care and salon policies.
Entry requirements
No prior VTCT qualifications required. Applicants must be aged 18 or over with a good command of spoken and written English. Any medical conditions, disabilities or learning needs must be declared before enrolment.

Course kits range from approximately £40 to £120 and can be ordered via the academy prior to the start date. Finance options are available.
Follow-up care and support
On completion, students may progress to VTCT Level 3 Beauty Diploma, VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy, VTCT ITEC Level 3 Access to Aesthetics, and VTCT ITEC Level 4 Skin Needling and Peels. Career and business mapping is provided for all students joining Signature Academy.
