Maria Bourne

I'm Maria Bourne and I qualified as a Nail Technician and Beautician in 2008 and BOURNE BEAUTY commenced trading in April 2016.

My business started in a small room inside a hairdressers one day a week. 

I quit my full time job in 2016 to pursue a full-time career in nails and beauty.

In October 2017 I left the hairdressers and constructed a log cabin in my back garden which I opened up as a nail and salon in December 2017.  

In November 2025 I relocated to a small shop in my village - this was one of my goals to do within 10 years of trading!

I am a fully qualified and insured.  I hold Level 3 Qualifications in Nail Technology, Beauty Therapy and Make-Up Artistry.​​

I offer a bespoke 1:2:1 service for all of my Client's meaning that all appointments are comfortable, professional and private. 

My business has gone from strength to strength and I am now a qualified Educator and Assessor.

I hold a Level 3 Award In Education and Training, and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

I now offer ABT Accredited in person 1:2:1 Training and Education in Nails and Beauty as well as online ABT Accredited Courses and Nail Art Workshops.

I have entered numerous Nail Art Competitions making me a multi international award winning Nail Artist. 

My biggest achievement to date is being placed 21st in the UK for The Best Nail Salon 2024 and Best Gel Polish 2025.
