Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a complementary therapy that uses concentrated plant extracts, known as essential oils, to support relaxation and a general sense of wellbeing. It is most often delivered as an aromatherapy massage, where oils are blended into a carrier oil and worked into the skin, though oils may also be inhaled or used in a diffuser. A trained aromatherapist chooses and dilutes oils to suit you on the day, so a session can be tailored towards feeling calmer, more uplifted or less tense, and the pressure of any massage can be adjusted to your preference.
Gel Polish
Gel polish is a long-wearing nail coating that is painted on much like ordinary varnish, then set (cured) under a UV or LED lamp so it hardens on the nail. Because it stays glossy and chip-resistant for around two to three weeks, it is one of the most popular salon nail treatments in the UK. You will sometimes see it sold under brand names such as Shellac, or described as a builder-in-a-bottle (BIAB) overlay when a thicker, strengthening gel is used.
Indian Head Massage
Indian head massage, sometimes called champissage, is a seated complementary therapy with roots in Ayurvedic tradition. Working through the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and often the face and ears, the practitioner uses kneading, gentle compression, friction and pressure-point techniques to ease muscular tension and encourage relaxation. It is usually carried out with you fully clothed and seated in a chair, which makes it accessible and easy to fit into a busy day.
